For the third time this season, the Houston Texans have a new starting QB.
Bill O'Brien: 'We're going to go with Brian Hoyer.'

Houston began the season with Brian Hoyer as the starter, before switching to Ryan Mallett during the first game of the season. Mallett was benched in Week 4 against the Atlanta Falcons , but started Week 5's contest against the Colts. Mallett took a hard hit to the ribs in Week 5, and Hoyer came in as a replacement. Mallett appeared ready to return to the game, but head coach Bill O'Brien left Hoyer in. Mallett didn't look happy on the sidelines.
Hoyer played well, throwing for more than 300 yards, 2 TDs and completing 77 percent of his passes. He threw an INT, but that came late in the game and Hoyer was hit on the throw.
The Texans have played three games this season where the starting QB did not finish the game. Not surprisingly, the team lost all three of those games.
Given the Texans' repeated QB shuffling, it wouldn't be surprising to see Mallett make an appearance again this season.
