In tonight's edition of Texans rumors, former Buffalo linebacker Khalil Mack could very well end up the Houston Texans' first overall pick of the 2014 NFL Draft.
Per Brent Sobleski of USA Today Sports, "while Clowney and the quarterbacks will continue to drive discussion regarding the No. 1 overall pick, Mack is legitimately in the conversation for the Texans."
Khalil Mack has seen is draft stock hit the stratosphere in the past few weeks, being picked by many NFL Draft analysts to be at least a top-five pick, if not higher up the ladder.
"At the NFL combine in Indianapolis, Mack was a Top 5 performer among linebackers in four of the six drills in which he participated. Mack ran a 4.65-second 40-yard dash, 4.18-second 20-yard shuttle and posted a 40-inch vertical and 10-8 broad jump," states Sobleski, underlining the fact that Khalil Mack could have the skills to be a franchise linebacker if utilized correctly.
Also, the Houston Texans' 3-4 defensive scheme perfectly suits Mack's experience, giving the Texans plenty to think about come draft day.
