While the Houston Texans had plenty to celebrate after winning their season opener and snapping a 14-game losing skid, they also suffered a huge blow as first-overall pick Jadeveon Clowney went down in the first half with a knee injury.
According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, the injury will keep the dynamic young pass rusher out for at least a month:
#Texans OLB Jadeveon Clowney slated to miss 4-6 weeks with a torn meniscus, source says. He’ll have surgery Monday. Tough start to his 2014

Texans head coach Bill O'Brien was initially optimistic about the injury, which occurred the second quarter of the team's 17-6 victory over the Washington Redskins.
"They think it's a good prognosis so it looks like it's going to be OK," O'Brien said, via ESPN.com. "He may miss some time, he may not. Who knows? So we'll know better as the week goes on."
While 4-6 weeks is not ideal, the Texans will at least likely have him back for a second half push towards the playoffs.
