The 2015 NFL Draft has reached its conclusion, and it's time to look back on just what the Houston Texans did in Chicago and how it sets them up for the future. Here's our Grades And Analysis Of The Houston Texans' Entire 2015 NFL Draft.
Picks:
(All player grades based on spot selected, need, etc.)
1st Round: Wake Forest CB Kevin Johnson [Grade: A-]
2nd Round: Mississippi State ILB Benardrick McKinney [Grade: B]
3rd Round: Arizona State WR Jaelen Strong [Grade: A-]
5th Round: Michigan State WR Keith Mumphrey [Grade: C]
6th Round: South Florida OLB Reshard Cliett [Grade: B-]
6th Round: Rice DT Christian Covington [Grade: B]
7th Round: LSU RB Kenny Hilliard [Grade: B]
Overall Grade: B
We love Kevin Johnson and his pure cornerback skill set at the top but we're less sold on Benardrick McKinney and whether his versatility at linebacker can outstrip the lack of consistency to his game. Jaelen Strong's a great value pick in the third, but why follow that up with a limited athlete like Keith Mumphrey? Not a bad weekend, but far from a home run.
