There are very few guarantees when it comes to the game of football, but when it comes to the Houston Texans' home game against the Tennessee Titans this week, we've found an exception to the rule. Here's 3 Reasons Why The Texans Will Blow Out The Titans.
1. Marcus Mariota's Injury
The Titans' rookie QB is out for Sunday's game, putting Zach Mettenberger back in the spotlight. That's troublesome for Tennessee, as they're a much less potent offensive team without Mariota pulling the strings from a dual-threat perspective. Mettenberger has raw talent, but it's not manifested itself with success at the NFL level just yet.
2. DeAndre Hopkins
The Texans' star wideout had an uncharacteristically tame game last week against the Miami Dolphins, catching six passes for 50 yards without crossing the goal line. That ended Hopkins' streak of four games with at least 100 yards receiving. He'll get right back in the groove, however, against a spotty Titans secondary.
3. A perfect showcase game
At 2-5, the Houston Texans' are staring down a long season ahead without much of a playoff hope to their name. A win against the Titans won't make the big picture playoff situation much better, but it'd infuse this team with confidence while giving the home fans a taste of what this team can do when all pistons are firing. This game is of utmost importance to the narrative of this season, and the Texans are too proud of a bunch to let this opportunity slip through their fingers.
