When the Rockets' Kevin Porter Jr., hit a game-winning 3-pointer as the clock ticked down to beat the Wizards on Wednesday night, a Wizards broadcaster made a horrific mistake.
"You've got to give credit. Kevin Porter Jr., like his dad, pulled that trigger right at the right time," Glenn Consor said on the Wizards broadcast.
Before the Rockets guard was born, his father was charged with first-degree murder in the shooting of a 14-year-old girl. Porter Sr., claimed the gun accidentally discharged, a witness backed up his statement and he ended up pleading guilty to first-degree manslaughter and serving more than four years in prison.
