There has not been this many moving trucks leaving Cleveland since Art Modell sent the Browns to Baltimore.
This time, Cleveland won. At least for now.
In a stunning series of moves, the Cavaliers pulled the plug on the failed Isaiah Thomas experiment, brought in a pair of young talents from the Lakers, a new veteran point guard and a sharp-shooter, then found time to send Dwyane Wade home to Miami, in a move that surely had his and LeBron James’ blessing.
Yet, none of that could be as significant as what it might mean next summer, with the Cavaliers and Lakers pulling off a trade that strengthened both of their positions to sign James as a free agent.
