Why Rockets need to unleash their new dynamic duo

The Houston Rockets trailed by 31 points Saturday night in a sleepy first-half effort against the Golden State Warriors. Two members Houston's young bench then nearly spurred the largest comeback in franchise history.

Third-year forward Tari Eason led Houston with 27 points as he added three steals and four blocks in a 127-121 overtime loss. Second-year guard Amen Thompson notched 18 points, 11 rebounds and four assists. The final stat lines only tell a sliver of the duo's impact. The pair of youngsters were defensive menaces in the fourth-quarter in particular, kick-starting both a 13-0 start in the first three minutes of the fourth quarter and a 9-3 flurry to close regulation.
