Three key takeaways from the Rockets 132-127 double overtime win against the Warriors Thursday night:
1. There was no surprise that the Rockets and Warriors would combine for the most 3-pointers in a game. The surprise was that neither team would make many – the Rockets were 14 of 44, the Warriors 12 of 44 – and that the Rockets would come away with the win. The did it by defending and rebounding in the overtimes, especially the second overtime when the Warriors made 1 of 11 shots. Some of those were shots the Warriors will always expect to make, but just two were uncontested.
