Three key takeaways from the Rockets' 107-106 win over the Celtics on Monday night:
1. In a long season, there are close games won with good fortune and some lost to bad luck. A team good enough to build distance from .500 can't be caught in too many of those. But the Rockets had to rally to make it a game that could have gone either way. When they did, the good fortune fell their way, most of all when Al Horford missed a layup for the win at the buzzer. The Celtics, of course, also had their share of good fortune when they got that chance to win it after James Harden's flagrant foul on the Rockets final possession gave them two free throws and the ball when the Rockets should have been taking free throws to ice the win, or at least should have gotten a time out to get Harden out of the trap.
