OKLAHOMA CITY - As heartbreaking as the tragedy in Thousand Oaks, Calif. was for people everywhere to hear, for Rockets forward James Ennis III it also hit close to home.
Ennis, who grew up in nearby Encino about 15 minutes from the club where a gunman killed 12 people late Wednesday night, said he knows that community well, making the news especially painful. Ennis said he had not been to the Borderline Bar & Grill where the shooting occurred, but had seen the venue many times.
"My mom, my dad, my brother and sisters moved from Thousand Oaks probably a month ago," Ennis said.
