The Rockets begin their battle through the Western Conference tonight at 9:30 p.m. EDT (8:30 p.m. CDT) against the Dallas Mavericks (On ESPN). The second-place Houston Rockets finished the season on a high note crushing the Utah Jazz to be crowned Southwest Division champion at 56-26. That division championship, by the way, is the Rockets first one since the 1993-1994 season.
The Dallas Mavericks enter the postseason on quite a roll ending the season 4-1. Dallas posted a 50-32 record while slipping in to the post-season with the seventh seed. In the regular season, Houston had Dallas’ number posting a 3-1 record against their in-state rivals.
