The billboard battle to land LeBron James is in full swing.
Before the first of six "Hey LeBron" billboards went up along Interstate 45 southbound near Wayside on Friday, artists from cities with ties to NBA teams each designed a billboard concept for ESPN to imagine each team's pitch to land NBA free agency's big fish.
Designer Carra Sykes, a former Houston resident, created the LeBron-to-Houston concept, tying a space-themed design with James front and center along with Rockets stars James Harden and Chris Paul.
"Space and Houston are two of my favorite things," said Sykes, who now calls Brenham home and still roots for all the Houston teams.
