The Rockets erased a 15-point fourth quarter deficit to defeat their arch-nemesis Warriors in an 87-81 victory.
The Rockets struggled to get in an offensive rhythm from the jump, only scoring 13 points on two made field goals in the first quarter. It improved as the game progressed, and they outscored the Warriors 35-14 in the fourth.
In the final frame, the Rockets pushed out nearly an all-Viper lineup with Markel Brown, R.J. Hunter, Chinanu Onuaku, Danuel House and the rookie De’Anthony Melton and the Warriors froze up and could not hit a shot down the stretch.
