The Houston Rockets didn't exactly ring in the New Year with a bang on Saturday night as they limped to a 108-88 defeat to the Knicks at the Toyota Center.
Saturday's defeat marked the third straight Houston loss of at least 15 points, and the dispiriting showing to close 2022 prompted a harsh critique from veteran guard Eric Gordon postgame. When asked to assess the Rockets' growth through 36 games, Gordon was blunt in his response: "no progress."
Rockets coach Stephen Silas addressed Gordon's comments for the first time before Houston hosts Luka Doncic and the Mavericks on Monday night.
