Another candidate is moving up the Rockets list of potential head coaches.
Spurs assistant James Borrego has moved from Monday's interview with Rockets general manager Daryl Morey to a follow-up meeting with owner Leslie Alexander, a person with knowledge of the Rockets' thinking confirmed on the condition of anonymity because of the private nature of the process. ESPN initially reported the schedule meeting with Alexander.
Borrego, considered one of the top candidates for the head coaching position with the Memphis Grizzlies, is in his second stint with the Spurs after stints with former Spurs assistant Monty Williams in New Orleans and Jacque Vaughn in Orlando.
