The Rockets intend to sign free agent forward James Nunnally to a 10-day contract Wednesday, two individuals with knowledge of the negotiations with the forward said.
Nunnally, who was in talks with the Rockets in the off-season, would help fill a rotation spot open after the Rockets could not reach agreement with Danuel House Jr. on a three-year deal to convert his two-way contract to a standard NBA deal.
Nunnally, 27, excelled in Europe as a 6-7 small forward with outstanding shooting range. He had several offers to return to Europe after he was waived by the Timberwolves this month, but opted to accept the offer with the Rockets because of the potential fit with his catch-and-shoot skills in the Rockets offense.
