Despite going winless, it was an extremely encouraging week for the young Rockets as they hung tough with multiple Western Conference contenders in the Lakers, Suns and Nuggets, posing a threat until at least the third quarter in each of the affairs. The Rockets put up a good fight against Golden State on Sunday night as well before eventually falling 120-107, matching the Warriors until a third-quarter run that dropped Houston's record to 1-9.
It was surprising to see the Rockets be competitive against the murderer's row they faced. I thought they would be decimated. Instead, they showed fight and resolve one would not expect from a team so inexperienced.
