Rockets forward James Ennis III is expected to be out for “a week or two,” Rockets coach Mike D’Antoni said, describing Ennis’ strained right hamstring as “slightly more than strained.”
Ennis came off the bench for the first time this season on Tuesday with Eric Gordon moving into the starting lineup. D’Antoni said he could spread Ennis’ usual playing time around to Danuel House, Jr. and Gerald Green and could return Gary Clark to the rotation.
“Danuel House played really well,” D’Antoni said of Tuesday’s game. “He’s new here. He’ll have his ups and downs.
