The Rockets reached agreement to sign guard Andrew Goudelock, a former NBA Development League star who had spent the season with the Xinjiang Guanghui Flying Tigers of the China Basketball Association, a person with knowledge of the deal said.
The source spoke on the condition of anonymity because the deal has not been announced.
Goudelock had two stints with the Lakers, averaging 12 points in three games in the 2013 playoffs when he played with Rockets center Dwight Howard.
Goudelock, a second-round pick of the Lakers out of the College of Charleston, was the NBA Development League MVP in 2013 for the Rio Grande Valley Vipers, the Rockets D-League affiliate.
