BOSTON - The Rockets will sign forward Terrence Jones to a second 10-day contract on Monday, a person with knowledge of the move said.
Jones, a Rockets first-round pick in 2012, was signed to a 10-day contract on Feb. 22 to help the Rockets reach the requirement to have 14 players under contract. They have two weeks to be back up to 14 with Jones' and Chris Chiozza's 10 days complete, but had chosen to sign Jones for another 10 days.
Jones played just 78 seconds in one game with the Rockets this season. He had averaged 23.
