Rockets to assign Sam Dekker to the D-League, per report

As Rockets head coach Kevin McHale's rotation beings to flesh itself out, the young, 'inexperienced' players are spending more time riding the pine. K.J. McDaniels was surprisingly sent down to the D-League early this week, now Sam Dekker appears set to join him on the Rio Grande Valley Vipers roster.

Houston Chronicle's Jonathan Feigen is reported that Dekker didn't make the trip to Denver for the Rockets' game against the Nuggets.

The Rockets selected Dekker with 18th-overall pick in the 2015 NBA Draft out of the University of Wisconsin.
