Rockets sign forward Cameron Oliver

The Rockets wasted little time after the NBA Draft in June with reaching agreement on a deal with undrafted free agent forward Cameron Oliver. One day into Summer League play, they made it official.

The Rockets announced they had signed Oliver, a deal that will likely bring him into training camp with a chance to earn a spot on the roster.

A 6-8, 239 pound forward, Oliver averaged 16 points, 8.7 rebounds and 2.6 blocked shots as a sophomore at Nevada-Reno last season. He made 38.4 percent of his 3s.

Oliver had six points, five rebounds and three blocked shots in 14 minutes off the bench in the Rockets' Summer League opener on Friday.
