The Houston Rockets added a host of teenagers and early-20s prospects across the last four offseasons in the post-James Harden era. Their latest newcomer is something of a veteran, at least on the international circuit.
Houston signed Australian forward Jack McVeigh to a two-way contract Monday, as first reported by ESPN's Olgun Uluc. McVeigh can play up to 50 games with the Rockets in 2024-25 on his two-way deal, though he can also spend time playing for Houston's G League squad in Rio Grande Valley.
McVeigh is no guarantee to make Houston's NBA roster on opening night in October, but his recent play suggests he could get a real opportunity to earn his spot during the team's preseason training camp.
