John Wall and the Rockets' mutual decision to not play Wall in games this season paved the way for what I and many others had been waiting for even before the team made Jalen Green the second pick in the draft: For Green and guard Kevin Porter Jr., to share the floor. That's exactly what happened as fans got their first glimpse of the franchise's backcourt of the future as the duo started Tuesday night's preseason opener in tandem.
Collectively, Porter and Green did not disappoint in the 125-119 win over the Wizards. Porter led all scorers with 25 points on 9-of-17 from the floor and a blistering 5-of-10 on 3s.
