The Rockets' season-long struggles securing their defensive boards abated in the Game 3 win, but bit them again on Monday to the point that Rockets guard James Harden said, "That's the game."
The Rockets were outscored 17-3 in second-chance points. In the first three games of the series, they had outscored the Jazz, 41-36, in second-chance points. In the fourth quarter of Game 3, the Jazz got the rebound of just one of 14 missed shots as the Rockets took the win in the closing minutes with their final points coming after P.J. Tucker rebounds when the Jazz had to foul.
