Gerald Green quickly became a fan favorite last season. The Houston-native signed a one-year deal with Houston back in late December.
Soon after he joined the Rockets, James Harden suffered a knee injury that caused him to miss nearly three weeks. Green effectively became Houston’s sixth man and he averaged 15.6 points and shot 41.5 percent from 3-point range in his first 10 games.
Green finished the season averaging 12.1 points and 3.2 rebounds per game. He earned himself minutes in the postseason, even though Mike D’Antoni cut his rotation to eight or fewer players in the playoffs.
