History: This is Luc Mbah a Moute’s second stint with the team. He originally signed with the Houston Rockets in the summer of 2017 and was a major contributor to the 65-17 squad. He averaged just 7.5 points, 3 rebounds, and 1.2 steals per game, but he shot 36 percent from deep, and his length and savvy on the defensive end made him part of Houston’s rotating cache of forwards put together to stop the Golden State Warriors juggernaut.
There have been lot of reasons given for Houston’s failure to get past the Dubs in a series in which they held a 3-2 lead but ended up falling in seven: Chris Paul’s hammy, bad officiating, 27 missed threes.
