A day after the Rockets determined they would hold Donatas Motiejunas to the terms of his signed offer sheet, they reversed course to offer him a do-over.
The Rockets opted Friday to pull the offer sheet and reopen negotiations with Motiejunas' representative, B.J. Armstrong, a person with knowledge of the decision said Friday. The individual spoke on the condition of anonymity because the decision has not been announced.
The Rockets re-open negotiations with the parameters of the previous deal as a starting point. Motiejunas would have earned as much as $31 million over four years, if the Rockets did not exercise any options out of the contract, with the Rockets.
