In a corresponding move, the Rockets are going to sign former Brooklyn Net Markel Brown to a two-way contract. Brown has played this season for the Oklahoma City Blue, the Thunder’s G-League affiliate.
The move is likely being made because Weber’s time on the active roster is nearing its end for the season and it limits the flexibility of the roster with Weber still on the team.
