Tilman Fertitta recently reflected on the Rockets' growth this past season and looked ahead to the future path for his team.
"I think you're going to see improvement this year and I think our big move is after this coming year," the Rockets owner told the Houston Chronicle. "We expect to win more ballgames this coming season, and we expect to make a big move (the) next year."
Of course, these comments are in no way surprising to those attuned to the team's off-court circumstances and financial reality. In the 2023 offseason, the franchise projects to have significant cap space with John Wall's monster $47 million contract coming off the books, and Eric Gordon's roughly $20 million contract being non-guaranteed.
