The Houston Rockets' roster is flush with a host of former first-round selections. A former No. 1 overall pick could join Houston's roster in the coming days.
The Rockets will meet with former Philadelphia 76ers star and 2016 No. 1 pick Ben Simmons on Friday, a source confirmed to Chron. NBA Insider Chris Haynes was the first to report the news. Houston would need to waive recently-acquired Atlanta Hawks center Cody Zeller in order to add Simmons, who would likely sign a contract guaranteed through the rest of the 2024-25 season.
