The Houston Rockets’ 2022-23 season continues to go from bad to worse, with a 119-108 loss in New Orleans marking Houston’s fifth straight loss and its 10th defeat across the last 11 games.
Wednesday’s contest wasn’t as close as the final score indicated.
Houston limped through the first quarter en route to a 45-22 deficit after the opening 12 minutes, and New Orleans led by as many as 31 midway through the second quarter. Rockets point guard Kevin Porter Jr. took responsibility for the ugly start after the game.
“As a leader, as a point guard of my team, I got to make sure we prepare and come out the right way and I didn't do that today,” Porter said.
