Rockets guard James Harden on Thursday took his third Western Conference Player of the Month honors of the season, earning the recognition for March and April. The Bucks' Giannis Antetokounmpo was named Eastern Conference Player of the Month.
Harden averaged 34.8 points, 7.1 assists and 6.9 rebounds in March and April while the Rockets went 16-4.
He took his second-consecutive scoring title this season with his margin of 8.09 points per game over second place Paul George the largest since Wilt Chamberlain topped Elgin Baylor in the 1962-63 season. Harden became the only player in NBA history to average 35 points and seven assists in a season.
