James Harden was absent from the ProCamp that bears his name Saturday at Legends Sports Complex in the Woodlands.

Anthony George Jr., Harden's longtime friend, passed away from complications after suffering a heart attack the same morning the camp for over 650 kids in grades 1-12 was set to start.

This is the fourth year Harden has partnered with a selection of the area's top high school and college basketball coaches for The James Harden Basketball ProCamp.

The James Harden Basketball ProCamp has also partnered with the Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Houston to provide camp scholarships to disadvantaged youth in the area.
