The Rockets' move to a seven-man rotation left coach Mike D'Antoni closely monitoring how his players handle the increase in their workload, but also hoping to balance the minutes better than in Game 4 when forward/center P.J. Tucker played 44 minutes, center Clint Capela 23.
Tucker's average of 37 minutes per game through the first four games led the Rockets, but the Rockets trimmed the rotation after Game 1 by going without backups Nene and Ryan Anderson in the rotation and then again after Game 3 by excluding Luc Mbah a Moute, who had struggled to come back from his dislocated right shoulder.
