CHICAGO - Though the Rockets made some tweaks defensively heading into the road trip, assistant coach Roy Rogers said the adjustments were more to emphasize much of what worked last season, rather than to move away from it.
The issue, he said was not how often they switched assignments when defending on screens, but how wisely and effectively. Though the Rockets were willing to switch any player onto any opponent, they did not want to switch on every screen.
"It's just about being smart about when we switch," Rogers said. "Being smart about when to keep Clint (Capela) on the big, and Chris (Paul) on his man.
