Rockets guard Michael Carter-Williams' work on shot pays off with record-setter

Long before the Rockets had reached their final shot of the game and at history on Wednesday, before the Toyota Center crowd and his Rockets teammates demanded Michael Carter-Williams take the record-breaking 3-pointer he sank, Carter-Williams had prepared if not for that moment, for that shot.

A career 25.4 percent 3-point shooter, Carter-Williams would not seem to be a likely candidate to put in a record-setting 3-pointer, as he did when he dropped in the Rockets’ 26th of the game to break the NBA mark for 3s in a game. But Carter-Williams had been working through the season to hone his shooting form.
