Rockets guard Eric Gordon will miss a second-consecutive game with stiffness in his lower back on Saturday against the Cavaliers, but has progressed enough that the Rockets are confident that he would return on Tuesday against the Nets.
“He’s out tonight, but there’s a very good possibility of when we get to Brooklyn he’ll play,” Rockets coach Mike D’Antoni said. “He’ll work out harder the next two days. If he doesn’t have any reaction, he’ll play on Tuesday.”
Gordon struggled through 10 minutes on Tuesday, taking just two shots that he missed, before he left the game with back spasms.
