Rockets give Stephen Silas second interview; D'Antoni still favorite

Charlotte Hornets assistant coach Stephen Silas is scheduled to meet with Rockets owner Leslie Alexander today about the Rockets head coaching position, a person with knowledge of the meeting said on the condition of anonymity because of the private nature of the talks.

The interview will be Silas' second with the Rockets after a meeting with Rockets general manager Daryl Morey in Chicago last week. It will be his first meeting with Alexander.

Though 76ers associate head coach Mike D'Antoni is still considered the front-runner for the Rockets position, the Rockets had not completed the process, according to a person familiar with the team's thinking.
