Rockets find way around rest vs. rust question

While many teams have given regulars time off late in the season, the Rockets have been able to cut back on their starters' workloads without sitting anyone for rest.

In the five games prior to playing the Suns on Sunday, James Harden had played an average of 31.8 minutes, Clint Capela 30, Eric Gordon 28.1, P.J. Tucker 27.8 and Chris Paul 27.7, an average of about five minutes fewer per game than they have averaged per game this season.

"It's important to stay sharp," Rockets associate head coach Jeff Bzdelik said of the Rockets' preference to limit playing time, rather than give days off.
