Rockets fall to Grizzlies after rallying to force overtime

MEMPHIS – The Rockets would not be defeated, down 18 in the fourth quarter. They would not give in down six in the final minute of overtime. They had done everything necessary to rally, but the one thing they could not all night.

They could not stop Jonas Valanciunas.

With James Harden's 57 points bringing the Rockets to within a split second of a second overtime, Valanciunas grabbed his eighth offensive rebound of the night and was fouled with .1 left. His free throw lifted the Grizzlies past the Rockets, 126-125, with Valanciunas scoring a season high 33 points with a season-high 14 rebounds.
