Though the Rockets held Timberwolves All-Star center Karl-Anthony Towns to eight points on Sunday, his third-fewest of the season, they were not about to claim they had discovered how to stop him.
“We didn’t do anything on Karl-Anthony,” Rockets coach Mike D’Antoni said. “He’s a great player. He’ll score. They didn’t do anything on Chris (Paul). He just didn’t have a great game. Stuff happens and we’re OK with it. We expect them to be a lot better. I expect Towns to score a lot more.”
He was not the only one. Eric Gordon expected Towns to be “featured” more than he was.
