Rockets guard Eric Gordon was cleared to practice Tuesday with his right ankle sore but with Gordon certain he would be able to play Wednesday against the Lakers.
"I feel pretty good," Gordon said. "Still a little sore, but I'm going to be ready to go. I'll be fine."
That would put him in a matchup of the top-two scorers who regularly come off the bench in the NBA this season. The Lakers' Lou Williams is averaging 18.4 points after scoring 38 on Monday. Gordon has averaged 17.1 in his 13 games as a sixth man. (Monta Ellis scored 19 points in his only game off the bench.
