Austin Rivers is in a drought. He is shooting 17.9 percent (7-of-39) on 3s his last seven games.
Rivers abided by a mantra familiar in Houston.
"Gotta keep putting up shots," Rivers said.
Coach Mike D'Antoni endorses fearless long-range shooting. He chalked up the struggles to Rivers' inconsistency of playing without guards Eric Gordon and Chris Paul, and now getting acclimated to their returns from injury.
"Then he started worrying about it a little bit," D'Antoni said.
Rivers shot a career-best 37.8 percent from 3 last season. He is shooting 31.6 heading into Tuesday's game against the New Orleans Pelicans at Toyota Center.
