Basketball Hall of Fame voters passed on Rudy Tomjanovich, the coach who led the Rockets to back-to-back championships in 1994-95, once again, prompting disbelief from Rockets coach Mike D'Antoni.
"I'm amazed," D'Antoni said. "What does he have to do? He's won two titles."
D'Antoni added that Tomjanovich, 69, has an Olympic gold medal as a coach, excelled as a college player at Michigan and made five All-Star teams as an NBA forward with the Rockets.
"Seriously?" D'Antoni said of his first reaction to hearing that Tomjanovich once again didn't make the cut. "I don't understand that criteria.
