Rockets close out preseason with loss to Spurs

SAN ANTONIO – With the Rockets' starters in Houston, the Spurs treating the night as a dress rehearsal and almost no Rockets player other than Nene with the ability to make a shot, Bobby Brown at least gave the Rockets something to consider.

With Monday's deadline to make roster cuts fast approaching and Brown generally only playing mop-up minutes, Brown gave what was left of the Rockets' offense life.

That might not be enough for him to make the roster. Tyler Ennis started, getting significant playing time in a third-consecutive game to offer an indication that he could be the Rockets' choice for that roster spot.
