Rockets' Clint Capela out against Grizzlies with thumb injury

Rockets center Clint Capela was ruled out of Monday's game against the Memphis Grizzlies with a right thumb injury, further depleting a rotation already without Chris Paul and Eric Gordon.

Capela, who will miss a game for the first time this season, said he was hit on an alley-oop in the third quarter but did not think the injury was serious. X-rays taken in Orlando were inconclusive.

"As I was going up for the lob, I got hit in the hand," Capela said on Sunday. "We're going to see what is it when we go back home.
