The Rockets got back to their losing ways last week, playing just two games and losing both. On Tuesday, they got obliterated by the San Antonio Spurs 134-104, and then on Friday, in a game that was at times closer than the final score, they fell to the Portland Trail Blazers, 125-110.
The Rockets (14-35) are still last in the Western Conference. They're hanging by a thread to the third seed in the Tankathon standings, with the Oklahoma City Thunder continuing its surge (14-34 overall, 1-9 in their last 10). The Thunder will be hard to fend off as leading scorer Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is expected to be sidelined at least through the All-Star break with a right ankle sprain.
