SALT LAKE CITY - Rockets guard Chris Paul sat out the second half of the back-to-back, a precaution as he returns from the 17 games he missed with a strained hamstring, but also a likelihood for the remainder of the season.
"Could be the rest of the year," Rockets coach Mike D'Antoni said. "We'll see. We only have (four back-to-backs remaining) so it is not dire. We'll see how he does. When Jason (Biles, the Rockets' athletic trainer) gives me a yay or nay, that's what we'll do."
Paul's play on Friday in Denver, his third game since returning, was encouraging, D'Antoni said.
